Frosty Stanage Sunrise

Frosty Stanage Sunrise - Photos of the Peak District
Warmer winters seem to be much more common these days and opportunities for those winter Peak District scenes are fewer. I was pleased to head out in December to photograph these picturesque millstones, the symbols of the Peak District, at sunrise.
At this time of the year, the sun has move around far enought to clear the outcrop of Stanage Edge which makes it a great time to visit before dawn.
The warm sunlight and frosty landscape makes for a nice contrast and wondeful winter scene.
